Snow or Inclement Weather :
If Hudson schools are delayed or close due to inclement weather, all morning classes will be cancelled. Afternoon and evening classes may still be held. Please call the studio after 1PM to find out the status of your child's classes.

Holidays and Vacations :
ATDA does not follow school schedules. Days off will be posted in the studio and monthly newsletters.

Student Attendance :
In order for students to progress in class, regular attendance must be kept. If a student is going to be absent, please call the studio and let us know. Each class is designed to give students a balanced workout. In order to be warmed up and prevent injury please arrive on time. Tardy students will be asked to warm themselves up before participating in class.

Teacher Absence :
If your child's teacher is absent from class, a substitute teacher will teach that class.

Costumes :
Costume prices range between $65 and $90 – the cost of which are paid in two increments. Once costumes are ordered, you are responsible for full costume payment (even if the student withdraws from the class).

The first payment of $65 is due the first week of October. The balance (which will be provided to you) is due the first week of January. Costumes will not be given to students until costume balances are paid in full.

Minor alterations may be necessary for some costumes (i.e., hems, tucks, etc.)

Refunds and Tuition :
No refunds are given for snow days, holidays or student absences. Once costumes are ordered, there will be no refunds and costume balances must be paid. Yearly tuition is broken into 10 equal monthly payments (it is not monthly tuition).

Right to Cancel :
ATDA reserves the right to cancel any class due to lack of enrollment. Alternate classes will be offered to those who signed up for that class.

Recital and Rehearsals :
Our annual recital is held in June. Rehearsals will be held at the dance studio and at the theatre. Dates and times will be announced in newsletters and posted on the bulletin board in the waiting area.

Dress Code :
To ensure correct technique, students must wear proper dance attire – thus allowing the instructor to watch for body placement and alignment in order to make corrections as needed. Click HERE for more details.

Cell Phones :
All cell phones should be turned off. Cell phone use is not allowed during class time.

Choreography :
Any dance choreographed by any instructor at ATDA is the sole property of that choreographer and cannot be used anywhere other than performances and events coordinated by ATDA (unless permission is given by that choreographer/instructor in writing).

Waiting Area :
Please conduct yourself quietly while classes are in progress. If an accident or spill occurs please notify a staff member so that it can be cleaned right away.

Observers :
Parents are invited into dance classes for the last 10 minutes of class during the first class of each month. Studio doors should remain closed during classes to avoid distractions from the waiting area. Dancers should not enter a classroom unless a teacher is present. Discussions with instructors should wait until the end of class unless it's an emergency.

A Note from the Director :
It is extremely important to me to have open communication with parents and guardians however, in order to start all classes on time, I may not have time to talk after class. Therefore, the best way to communicate with me is through email.
